Yes it's a Pandemic, but...

Social distancing from everyone sucks... and yet there is a display of teamwork, a sense of unity instilled in all of us. We aren’t meeting our friends for dinner and drinks... but thankfully their virtual support is getting us through this! I know we have forgotten what it is to shop at the mall... but aren’t we using this time to get to old hobbies y’all? Our favorite restaurants are shut and cooking is not always fun... but wait for it guys, we’ll soon be dining under the sun. I complain about juggling between a toddler, home and office work... but aren’t people dealing with problems larger than this all? Never imagined 2020 would mean travel bans and staying at home... but it’s a PANDEMIC and right now, I’m finding peace through long walks!

Sometimes....

Sometimes I fall short of words...

Sometimes I pour my heart out like a free bird.

Words and feelings,

They have a strange connection together.

Sometimes the feelings translate into words...

Sometimes they get buried deep down to never be heard! 

Happiness!

There are these days...

when I feel so content with life. 

Its like a blessing,

as if i'm god's own favorite child.

No complaints, no hassles, 

just simple happy-state-of-mind.

Then there are few other moments,

where I question my existence!

What have I achieved so far,

What is it that i'll be known for? 

A fire within me ignites.

Gives me the power

and strength to fight! 

I know there is a long way to go,

before I can reach my goals.

Alongside I mustn't forget 

that a happy heart,

is what'll matter in the end. 

An inspiring Fall

Lately I've been observing Autumn,

Almost like its my favorite season!

Trees around me grab the maximum attention,

each one as if has its own story narration.

Leaves turn orange and yellow, while others into red

then there are the stubborn ones who refuse to shed.

No set pattern they all are unique

embracing the season with such finesse.

The fall foliage make a beautiful sight

as we watch the colors with utter delight. 

Change is inevitable in all or lives,

to accept it gracefully is what the tree decides.

With the onset of winter ahead,

even the last leaf will shed

but I'll wait for spring to come
and watch you blossom under the sun.

You came into my life
when I was in my teens.
Watching you in movies,
I loved you in every scene.

 Favorite hero, childhood crush, first love
 you soon became
A school going girl
was overblown with your fame.

You made a few mistakes
well everybody does
I still managed to be
a part of your fan club

Years have passed
I watched your every release
The world has seen you change
 into a better human being.

You continue to entertain
season after season
Still waiting for a day
when I get to see you in person.
